Program Requirements

In order to successfully enroll in the program, you must meet Westcliff University's admission requirements. Those requirements are as follows:

  • Non-refundable application fee of $30 (113SAR)

  • Non-refundable registration fee of $13 (50SAR)

  • Proof of English language proficiency (by providing standardized test scores from reputable testing organizations [i.e. IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson, etc.], or achieving the required proficiency level on the Westcliff English Proficiency examination)

  • Personal statement of professional goals (300-500 words)

  • Admissions interview

  • Online registration

 

Program Session Start Dates

The program sessions run for 8-week blocks with the first session of the academic year beginning in August. Applications should be complete and submitted at least 30 days prior to the start date to ensure sufficient time for review of documents and acceptance into the program. The session dates for the 2018-2019 academic year are as follows:

Session 1 August 27 - October 21 (2018)

Session 2 October 22 - December 16 (2018)

Session 3 January 7 - March 3 (2019)

Session 4 March 4 - April 28 (2019)

Session 5 May 6 - June 30 (2019)

Session 6 July 1 - August 25 (2019)

 

Study Format

This blended learning platform allows you to study flexibly and conveniently around your busy work schedule and personal life. The major study formats of the program are as follows:

  • Weekly virtual lessons delivered via Westcliff University’s faculty based on particular modular themes

  • Weekly discussion forums (virtual and physical locations) that seek to enhance teachers’ comprehension

  • Daily observation logs and journals which help teaching professionals engage in self-reflective practices

 

Program Costs*

The program consists of online study via Westcliff University’s GAP (Global Academic Portal), interactive group discussion forums, textbooks, presentations, microteaching, and classroom observations. The total cost of the program will be $2,750 (10,320SAR inclusive of VAT) payable at the beginning of the course before the first week of the session.
