SPEAKING & LISTENING
Speaking and listening are the most fundamental human tools of interaction. Even until now, there are societies that are strictly oral and have not yet developed writing systems. As such, being able to communicate and understand effectively in English is a common and easily achievable goal. By being exposed to the language, "getting one's ear around it", students can begin to understand language input and then progressively develop their speaking skills (pronunciation, vocabulary usage, etc.) until they have measurable control of the ability to express themselves. This course helps students to tune their ears to the realtime speed of actual language use, build their vocabularies, listen for main ideas and details of any given conversation, speak intelligibly, and practice pronunciation schemes.
